Mr. Shailendra Bhandari holds a Master degree in Management from lIM, Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics from St. Stephen's College of Delhi University. He is a seasoned finance professional having expertise in Banking, Private Equity and Mutual Funds. He commenced his professional journey as a Probationary officer with Tata Administrative Services in July 1980. Mr Bhandari also served as the founding head of Tata's entry into the Private Equity space. He was the Managing Director and CEO of Centurion Bank of Punjab. He has also served as a Member of the Managing Committee of the Indian Banks Association. Besides, he was on the Managing Committee of the Bombay Chambers of Commerce & Industry, and was nominated to the Managing Committee of ASSOCHAM. He has also worked as Managing Director and CEO of Prudential ICICI Asset Management. He was part of the core team to set up HDFC Bank as Treasurer and Executive Director. Mr. Bhandari is also an ex·Citi banker, where he spent twelve years in several roles in India and overseas. In his last assignment, he retired as the Managing Director & CEO of ING Vysya Bank Ltd. He was also a part of lNG's Leadership Group comprising its Top 100 people across all Global businesses. He is currently retired from active employment.
